According to sources from the industry, Verizon Wireless’ plans for the rest of 2010, 2011 and even some 2012 plans are unveiled. We’re talking about Android tablets, LTE MiFi units, Android 3.0, video conferencing, and a whole lot more. Here are some of them, which we consider more interesting:
Is confirmed once again, that Samsung is working on a 7-inch sized Android tablet which we know as the Galaxy Tab. Android and a front facing camera were also confirmed. Nothing about a release date in September which we’ve heard previously and no other details.
Then there’s the Motorola Verizon 10-inch tablet confirmed. It is indeed coming with Android, version 3.0 and either a 1GHz or 1.3GHz processor. A front facing camera is confirmed but nothing about a rear one, yet. We last heard it could launch in Autumn, but news are that the plan was to release it in December but there will be delays in getting Android 3.0 on it so a launch next year in February 2011 is looking much more likely. So much about tablet PCs.
Verizon Wireless is aiming and on track to have at least 75% of the country covered in LTE coverage by April 2012 and LTE data pricing will stick at 59.99 USD/month, though it’s unclear what the data allowance will be.
It’s obvious, they say, that Verizon Wireless isn’t slowing down with their huge Android push and they’re aimed to win. Let’s see!
