Choosing the right tablet is quite a difficult process nowadays, with so many products and models being available out there, but things have just gotten a whole lot worse, since Barnes & Noble have just released the very affordable 8GB NOOK Tablet.
The NOOK devices have already proved to be a bit of a threat for Amazon’s competing offerings, and now, the heat is up, since the 8GB NOOK Tablet will come at a very attractive price point, of just around 199 US dollars.
The tablet is built around a 1GHz dual-core processor, paired with a 7-inch touchscreen VividView display, with 16 million colors. Additional features include a microSD memory expansion slot, plus a Wi-Fi module.
Additionally, the 8GB NOOK Tablet is sleek and thin with a soft touch back design, and lightweight at under a pound (14.1 oz.), while also coming equipped with a battery pack that should grant around 11.5 hours of reading time or nine hours of video viewing.
Plus, of course, the 8GB NOOK will grant access to a huge array of applications, as well as Barnes & Noble‘s impressive array of content sources, whether we’re talking about magazines, books, etc.
All in all, it’s quite an interesting offering, and we’re eagerly waiting to see just how well this new tablet will fare on the market.
