With the release of AMD’s mobile processor platform more and more producers started to integrate them into their mobile devices. Back in November Asus released Eee PC 1201T netbook with AMD Athlon Neo processor and was first available in Germany.
Asus Eee PC 1201T (1201T-MU10-BK) is an AMD second-generation ultrathin Asus Eee PC netbook and now is available in US. This netbook is sold on Newegg.com for $389.99 and the cheap price is due to the fact that it comes without an operating system preinstalled, it comes only with Asus Express Gate.
The Asus Eee PC 1201T netbook is powered by a 1.60GHz AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 single core processor and ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics, the same as Lenovo ThinkPad X100e. The netbook has a 12.1-inch WXGA LED backlit display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio.
The netbook comes with a 160GB hard drive, 2GB DDR2 SO-DIMM RAM, 10/100 Ethernet LAN, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, 0.3 megapixels webcam, built-in stereo speakers, card reader MMC/SD(SDHC), chiclet keyboard, and a 6-cell Lithium ion battery with enabling up to 6 hours of runtime.
