Asus to launch very thin laptop [Computex 2011]

  • Sharebar

ASUS is the next manufacturer to produce a very thin laptop under the UX21 name. This model will be introduced at the upcoming Computex 2011 show.

What you see above is an all-aluminium laptop that is just as thin as the Macbook Air. Well we don’t know that for now but by the looks of it the guys at ASUS really did a great job. And the looks aren’t the only feature that stand out. ASUS has managed to squeeze the latest technology inside.

The Asus UX21 will have an Intel Sandy Bridge i7 processor, USB 3.0 and 2.0, SSD storage (obvious) and a rather special keyboard. Unlike Apple’s the UX21′s will have an all aluminium one, along with a glass trackpad. Asus claim the battery will last for up to 7 hours on a single charge and it will be able to sleep for about 7 days. Being a fast portable wake up time has been reduced to just 2 seconds.

As you are about to see the finish is very shiny so for all of you who think the Apple aluminium is dull, check the Asus UX21 here:
