ePad looks like a bigger iPhone and is priced at 295 Euros

The tablet has no brand name printed on its body, so we don’t know who’s whose work is, but looks better this way. After Apple presented the iPad in January 27 it stated that Shenzhen companies will be able to release their own products at 4-5 months distance, but the ePad is already available on the market.

The imitation of iPad tablet prototype was on the works even before Apple presented the iPad to the world. Its design resembles an enlarged iPhone then being a clone of the iPad, this comes to prove that ePad has been under construction based on the first iPad tablet concepts.

This clone is equipped with a 10.1-inch multitouch screen display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. The ePad tablet has support for rotation (thanks to a G-sensor), multitouch, WiFi, and support for 3G, GPS and others via extensions.

The specifications of the ePad include an Intel Atom N450 running at 1.66GHz, Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphics, 1GB or 2GB of RAM, options for a 160GB, 250GB or 320GB hard drive and it comes preinstalled with Windows 7 operating system.

Connectivity includes 3xUSB2.0 at the bottom of the tablet, 4-in-1 card reader, 1xVGA output, microphone, and headphone jacks. The dimensions of the ePad are 290 x 150 x 20 mm and it weighs 1kg. It comes with a 3000mAh battery, but its autonomy isn’t known at this time.

Comparing the performance of the iPad with the ePad, the combination of Windows 7 and the Touch support isn’t as friendly. The ePad also comes without a webcam and the first batch of products is already on the market. The manufacturers didn’t produce them in large numbers, waiting to see the consumers’ reaction regarding the ePad. The ePad can be found at a price of a slow as 2680yuan, that’s about 295 Euros.
