Feno folding notebook concept

Have you ever thought about a portable computer big enough to have a decent display but small enough to fit in your bag? We haven’t because it’s impossible, or is it?

This crazy device should be a fully functioning laptop, at least that’s what designer Niels van Hoof wants us to believe. Alhough it is just a rendering, the concept is very appealing. When folded, the depth of the laptop is just a hair longer than a DVD. The screen is two thirds of the entire while the final one is reserved for the keyboard.

The closest thing to it is the Sony Vaio P Series but the Feno tops it when it comes to awesomeness. We don’t know how much we’re going to wait for such a device to come out since the joint of the two screens needs to be invisible, just like in the picture below.

Another thing that needs to be taken care of is the weight distribution. In this case the bottom needs to be really heavy in order to maintain ballance. Normally all the hardware should go under the keyboard, leaving the top only with the display and the wireless antennas.

Since there is no trackpad one nice feature of the Feno notebook is the hide-and-seek mouse. Basically you can store it inside the laptop when not using it.

  1. [...] Feno folds smaller than other notebooks since it has a flexible screen that allows the display to fold. [...]
