Gateway NV Series gets an update

Gateway’s concept of an everyday HD multimedia computer caught on very well with the NV Series and now we get to see some changes with the newest members of the family including a choice between Intel processors and the latest units from AMD. Gateway has prepared the ID47 laptop for the Back to school program and by the looks of it students will want it for it’s incredible looks. The specs aren’t bad either so let’s see what’s what: Looking at the Gateway ID47 gives me enough reasons to think students will absolutely love it. Gateway updated its NV series laptops with the new NV59C66U. The laptop comes in both 15.6 and 17 inches, and packs an Intel 6250 WiMAX integrated card. Gateway ID49, ID59 and ID79 available in Canada

The new Gateway ID series that has arrived in Canada includes the 14-inch ID49, the 15.6-inch ID59 and the 17.3-inch ID79. The Gateway ID Series comes in a sleek silver casing that is punctuated by a unique aqua-blue touchpad that glows when touched, acting as a beacon for accessing entertainment and information. Is ACER moving its ultra-thin laptops under Gateway brand?

According to industry sources, people from Acer are planning to move their 13-15 inches display ultra-thin laptops under Gateway brand. Also as part of this strategy, they would only store under Acer brand the Aspire netbook’s 11.6-inch Timeline and TimelineX series. Gateway became a subsidiary of Acer in October 2007 when it was acquired by Taiwanese company with 710 million dollars.
