Back at CES 2012, HP promised to bring their latest ultrabook, the HP Envy 14 Spectre, to the market as soon as February 8, and sure enough, the company kept its promise, this impressive portable computing system being officially available for purchase as we speak. While we won’t go into too many details regarding the glassy, innovative design of the HP Envy 14 Spectre ultrabook, since we’ve already covered this aspect back when we announced the system’s official release, we will, however, talk a bit more about the various configurations...

We pretty much suspected that HP was going to come up with a couple of very interesting surprise at CES 2012, and sure enough, they did, the company revealing their long-rumoured HP Envy 14 Spectre notebook, a portable gem packed with the latest available technologies. Right from the start, we’ll have to mention that the new notebook from HP is quite an attractive piece of work, featuring scratch- resistant glass on the lid, display, palmrest and HP ImagePad, as well as a bright 14-inch HD display. The 20-mm thin device is powered by BeatsAudio,...

HP Envy Spectre video teaser gives quite the ultrabook feeling

Intel’s ultrabook platform is shaping up to be one of the most interesting product families of 2012, with quite a few major manufacturers jumping in on this bandwagon and even more set to follow. And, in fact, it seems that HP plans on using CES 2012 as the perfect opportunity for showcasing yet another product of this type, apparently called the Envy Spectre, which is already being teased in a video leaked online, courtesy of Engadget. While there are virtually no details available for this machine for the time being, it seems that the model...

HP Envy Series – late 2011 refresh (Video)

The HP Envy is one of those Windows powered portable computers that actually looks good. The good news keep coming with upgrades being released by HP. More details below. The HP Envy is a multimedia solution that should suit those who are willing to spend a little more on design, build quality and features. Let me make it absolutely clear this is no cheap laptop, no matter which version you choose. You’ll be able to choose between 15″ and 17″ models, both of them with Full HD LED IPS displays. The 17″ will also come with...

HP Folio – another Ultrabook shows up

HP joins the Ultrabook family with the Folio, a laptop with a settled down design. There is nothing spectacular about the way it looks but HP insisted on delivering very good specs. The Ultrabook competition is getting tougher by the day. All manufacturers are in a hurry to release some sort of thin laptop in time for Christmas and now we get to see HP announcing the Folio – a powerful, light and thin laptop that will have to get through the Acer S3 and ASUS ZENBOOK UX31. However you might like the HP Folio because it has a different approach...

HP 3115m mini business laptop

Remember the HP Pavilion dm1? This is just like it, only it comes in different clothes… business clothes. Let me remind you what you’re getting: Business can come cheap especially if you manage your tasks and files with the HP 3115m. No, this isn’t and advertising campaign for one of HP’s laptops but at $429 this has to be one of the cheapest business portable computers out there. I’ll admit this is nothing but a Pavilion dm1 with fancier clothes. There are three specs you’re going to like the most: the 11.6″...

HP Pavilion dm1-4000 notebook specs

HP has announced in Japan the Pavilion dm1-4000, another 11.6″ notebook with an ULV processor. Let’s hope we get to see it’s specs better in the US. Before that we’ll have to deal with it’s Japanese specs and price tag. The HP Pavilion dm1-4000 comes for those who have a higher need for mobility and a good processor. Since the laptop will be available for the moment only in Japan we’d say they’ve thought this product through. It comes with the dual-core 1.65 GHz AMD Fusion E-450 processor, 4GB RAM and a...

HP Pavilion dm1 update

HP updated the ultraportable dm1 with faster components but kept the same tempting price. AMD and Intel are the processors to choose from. The new HP Pavilion dm1 will have new AMD Fusion processors: E-300 and E-450; and the Intel Core i3 ULV processors. The base model will cost only $399 and will feature 4GB RAM and a 7200RPM hard drive. HP also makes SSD options available for the dm1. The 11.6″ 1366×768 display is still there and in the design department the glossy lid has been replaced with one that doesn’t attract that much...

HP Pavilion G4 comes with the latest AMD processor

It features the 1.65 GHz AMD E-450 processor which was designed to deliver decent performance while not draining the battery after two minutes of usage. The Pavilion G4 is also capable of delivering Full HD content thanks to the Radeon HD 6470M graphics card which can be configured...

HP 635 gets the AMD Fusion chips

HP has put the AMD Zacate chip inside the 630 laptop and changed its name to HP 635. It remains the affordable 15-inch laptop we’ve seen in the not so distant past. The looks will remain the same but inside you’ll be able to spot the difference. And it’s not only the AMD Zacate that HP throws inside the 635: customers will be able to choose between the AMD Phenom II P360 2.3GHz or Phenom P650 2.6GHz dual-core processors. The graphics will be taken care of either the AMD Radeon HD 6310 or the AMD Radeon HD 4250. Other than that...
