A small, durable, fast and reliable laptop is what some of us want and Samsung has been paying attention to our wishes and made the 400B2Bs from the 4 Series family. I can’t get used with the 12.5-inch screen yet. It’s not small but it sounds very weird for someone who has been used to 12.1 and 13.3-inch screen. Google is working with manufacturers to get Chrome OS laptops ready in time for the big launch. Samsung’s first Chrome notebook will be the “Alex”. Samsung isn’t going to put the most powerful stuff inside its Chrome notebook. As we know Google’s OS doesn’t need a lot of power to get on the cloud and start working. That is why the Samsung Alex will pack the Intel Atom N550 CPU, 2GB of RAM and (very important) SSD storage by Sandisk. The rest of the specs are pretty common as well: WiFi, Bluetooth, Webcam, VGA...

For those of you who don’t want the slimmest and lightest laptop Samsung has come up with a durable model called the Series 6. The DuraCase ProMG magnesium could easily be the reason why you might buy one, but if you want are a businessman seeking a good business laptop look no further. Samsung decided it’s time they updated their entertainment laptops with the new RF511 and RF711 improved and faster models. Entertainment laptops are all about your media: photos, music and videos. If a laptop can’t handle these, then it’s worthless. However, the new RF511 and RF711 have all the ingredients to keep you entertained. Let’s start with the RF511. The future may be closer than we thought. Sooner or later we’re all going to use our windows as touchscreens but until then Samsung has chosen to show us the way. Samsung has unveiled a few models that seem to cover pretty good the basic needs as well as more complex demands by comsumers. The 2, 4 and 6 Series come in different sizes and with different specs. The 2 Series are the least powerful laptops launched by Samsung lately. These units come with Intel Celeron processors, up to 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive and Windows 7 Professional Edition. The 9 Series may be a true Macbook Air rival but it didn’t really win our hearts when we saw the price tag. Rumors now say that an 11.6 inch 9 Series notebook will be announced by Samsung. We really liked the 13.3” 9 Series laptop – we liked the design, the performance and the weight, but we really didn’t like price. Somehow 1600$ seemed a lot and it still does.
