Toshiba Satellite U840 14-inch ultrabook announced in Singapore

2012 really is the year of the ultrabook, and for this reason, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that all of the traditional notebook manufacturers are starting to come up with such products, one of the latest being none other than Toshiba. So, the Japanese outfit (or, to be perfectly accurate, its Singapore division) has just unveiled the Toshiba Satellite U840, touted as being the company’s first-ever 14-inch ultrabook. Naturally, since it’s got to respect the strict requirements set by Intel, the Toshiba Satellite U840...

This one’s for the gamers: the Toshiba Dynabook Satellite T571/W5TB laptop packs a serious punch for those who want multimedia entertainment and the latest game titles. Today’s laptop is the second Dynabook we hear about this week. But unlike the slim Toshiba Dynabook R631, the Toshiba Dynabook Satellite T571/W5TB comes with a powerful processor and a very good graphics card. First of all the display measures 17.3″ and although it’s not Full HD (just 1600×900 pixels) it will still be enough for many of the gamers out...

Toshiba Satellite L735D laptop aimed at kids

A laptop is a fairly fragile gadget when given to a kid, therefore you either buy him a toughbook, or you take a look at the more affordable Toshiba Satellite L735D. This fairly green laptop is called the Toshiba Satellite L735D and it features a 13.3″ display and the latest AMD Fusion processor: the C-60. The laptop is aimed at children since nobody would show up with a green portable computer that has rubber corners and a green power button. There are only two USB 2.0 ports, a webcam and a 320GB hard drive. The specs aren’t the greatest,...

Toshiba Qosmio T851 is an unique 3D laptop

Toshiba announced the Qosmio T851, a 3D laptop that is capable of showing stunning images without any glasses. But there’s more! Slowly but surely 3D laptops are starting to flood the stores and manufacturers have to come up with things unheard of if they want to sell their portables. It’s no use having the same laptop as your mate but in a different case. Toshiba has a surprise for us (and indeed for me) with the Qosmio T851. It may be a 3D laptop but the thing that separates it from the competition is the ability to display 2D. Before...

Toshiba announces 3D Satellite P770 and P775 laptops

Wouldn’t it be nice if somebody thought of portable home cinemas? We got lucky as we found out Toshiba just did that by introducing the Satellite P770 and P775. We are looking at an uncharted territory here. 18.4-inch screens that must be HD, 3D technology, glasses and everything. These are the Toshiba 3D Satellite P770 and P775 laptops. As we don’t have the spec sheet yet, we could take wild guesses on whatever might be inside those things. Common sense tells us we should expect Intel Sandy Bridge processors (probably the full i7),...

Toshiba has unveiled its latest product for the user who wants a good mix between a good laptop and a decent priced one. The Portege R835-ST3N01 seems to tick all the important details. The power comes from the second-generation Intel Sandy Bridge i3-2310M processor, clocked at 2.1GHz and it’s backed up by 4GB RAM. The Intel HD Graphichs will seamlessly stream...

The Satellite R800 laptops are Toshiba’s new bet

Toshiba wrote in its latest press release that laptops need to get closer to common consumers and needs to bring them the newest technologies. Most of the time we want our laptops to be up and ready the first time we use it. We also want it to amaze us, even if by a small amount. This is what Toshiba wants from its Satellite R800 line. Although we don’t know all the specs, the R830, R840 and R850 are promising. First of all, there’s the name. If you can’ take hints all three of them have 13.3”, 14” and 15.6” LED backlit displays...

New Toshiba Satellite C655D AMD Fusion Laptops Are Here

AMD mind their own business and continue shipping the error-free Fusion processors to all important manufacturers. Toshiba announced the new affordable C655D laptops and we couldn’t be more happier. Back at CES2011 we were impressed by the low-powerd AMD Fusion Processors and manufacturers saw opportunities for reaching new consumers and markets. The C655D laptops all feature decent specifications and an extremely decent starting price. For the office consumer this line of laptops is more than perfect and no matter the differences between...
