MSI announced new WiMAX laptops that will be present at upcoming Taiwan’s Computex 2010 in early June. These WiMAX laptops are MSI X-Slim X350, MSI X-Slim X420, MSI Wind U135, and MSI Wind U140.
The MSI X-Slim X350 (13.4-inch) and X-Slim X420 (14 inch) are powered by energy saving Intel CULV platform, while the MSI Wind U135 and Wind U140 (both 10-inch) are powered by an Intel Atom N450 processor.
The MSI X-Slim X350 comes as a multimedia laptop because it comes with HDMI and Blu-ray drive. The laptop is very thin and light, being less than 1 inch thick and weighing just 1.5kg (including 4-cell battery). The MSI X-Slim X420 notebook has ATi Mobility Radeon HD 5430 discrete graphics card and weight 1.88kg with 4-cell battery.
MSI Wind U140 is using an identical chassis with that of MSI Wind U120 (previous generation), but features a new processor, battery, and has weighs less (1.4kg), with the 3-cell battery weighing just 1.2kg, just like the MSI Wind U135 model as well.
All of them are equipped with chiclet keyboard and extended battery life with MSI ECO engine and will be present at Computex 2010 which takes place in Taiwan. We are looking forward to this event because more laptops will be available from all big players of the laptop market and MSI is one of them.
