Samsung Netbook

Samsung Series 5 Chromebook gets Celeron upgrade (foto) [CES 2012]

Beside all of the other goodies it presented at CES 2012, South Korean behemoth Samsung also had on display an interesting addition to its Chromebook family of portable computing systems designed specifically to run Google’s Chrome operating system. So, while up until now, the Chrome OS notebooks were powered by the Intel N570 processor, it seems that Google’s operating system might actually become a bit mode demanding on the future (resource-wise, that is), since Samsung has decided to equip its revamped Series 5 Chromebooks with Celeron...

First Samsung NC215 discount available

The Samsung NC215 netbook is an interesting product because it takes the idea of eco charging and applies it by putting some solar panels on the lid. Samsung announced the netbook a while ago and we already can purchase it at a discounted price. People who think plugging a netbook will melt the polar caps can go for the Samsung NC215, the perfect portable computer for Green Peace. Featuring a low-voltage 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom N570 processor and 1GB RAM, the 6-cell battery powered netbook will be able to charge itself with sunlight. For every...

Samsung N100 available in India

India is the first country to get the MeeGo powered Samsung N100. The netbook features some basic specs we talked about in the past. More info after the jump. The Samsung N100 is one of the most affordable netbooks and it gets very close to the $200 price tag Intel talked about a while ago. This is due to the low-powered 1.33 GHz Intel Atom N435 processor and just 1GB RAM. Other specs are 250GB hard drive Intel GMA 3150 graphics and a 10.6-inch 1024×600 matte display. Connectivity hasn’t been forgotten with USB 2.0 ports, VGA-out and...

Samsung NC215S eco-netbook

We’ve seen some manufacturers trying to build solar panels within their gadgets. Samsung did it with one of its phones but this time they think a bit bigger, although the laptop isn’t that big. The Samsung NC215S gets a big solar panel on the lid so technically you shouldn’t worry about any power bricks. Looking for something small, light and powered by the sun? Look no further than the Samsung NC215S, a small portable computer that makes use of a big solar panel placed on the lid. On paper this sounds brilliant: the NC215S should...

Samsung announces the NS310 netbook

Samsung will launch the new NS310 netbook for an European market that is willing to spend a little more on quality and good features. Small laptops didn’t always mean they were cheap. In Samsung’s case not at all – the NS310 may have some nice specs but the price tag may change your mind about buying one. The processor used is the Intel Atom N550, clocked at 1.5GHz and there is 1GB of RAM installed. Samsung went for the Intel GMA 3150 graphics card and equipped the NS310 with 320GB of storage. Like all notebooks the display...

Samsung N220 Plus Premium – more than a Plus

When something goes well, there’s always a Plus. This is probably what Samsung thought, by adding Plus Range to its models, but Samsung N220 got more than N220 Plus, now there is the Samsung N220 Plus Premium. After only one month of announcing N150 Plus, N220 Plus and NB30 Plus models, which added a larger 250GB hard drive, new power saving features to reduce power consumption when in standby, a new fast book utility, and a preinstalled copy of Microsoft Office Starter Edition 2010 to the range, what else can bring the Samsung N220 Plus Premium? This...

Samsung N230 – stylish design and 13.8 hours autonomy

Little Samsung N230 was bunch announced, with a number of models of laptops and some mini R series laptops updated, but South Korean company then issued a press release about this particular model. Samsung X170 Barbie Edition available in Korea

What was missing from Barbie’s collection of accessories? A netbook, so Samsung thought about “her” needs and recently released in Korea the X170 Barbie Edition. The netbook will be available in two colors: black and pink, but a white version would’ve been better in our opinion. Samsung X170 Barbie Edition has a modified version of Windows 7 preinstalled with modified logos, themes, icons, screen savers and wallpapers with the beloved doll. The X170 has a Barbie profile film on the top lid as well. The specifications of the Samsung X170...
