Let’s talk!

We love laptops and we really want to know what you think about them. When it comes to news, reviews and opinions we may not be always right. That is why we’ve decided to let you state your opinion on our Facebook Page. There’s a couple of reasons why you should consider taking a look at it: First of all we’ll always have a subject to debate. The way news come out we might even start two topics every morning. We appreciate you spend a little of your precious time on our website and we know you might have something to say about...

Steve Jobs has passed away

This is a sad day for all tech industry: Steve Jobs, co-founder and former CEO of Apple Inc, has passed away, leaving behind a company he saved and the rebuilt to become one of the most successful brands in the world. He will be missed… There is a lot to say about Steve Jobs, his story is known throughout the industry and he was admired by colleagues and competitors as well. All we can say is that we will miss the man who believed in his dreams and transformed a passion into what Apple is today. Perhaps one of the best ways of remembering...

T-Mobile Android tablets leaked

There’s nothing like a good leak to ruin a company’s secrecy and that is why we love them. This time we see T-Mobile having some trouble keeping a secret the launch of three new tablets. The three tablets will be available starting October 26th and all the way through November. The first one that’s going to hit the shelves is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, priced at $399. A 10.1″ 1280×800 display, powered by Android Honeycomb 3.2 and NVidia 3.2 – this is what you get if you decide to go for T-Mobiles price. The Huawei...

This is why everybody should run for President (video)

Being leader of the free world may be enough for many but not for us. If we knew being President would grant us access to one of the most magical devices before launch, we would have started working on our campaign. We already know Apple takes care of its customers and treats them very well. There is however a number one customer that Apple treated with a nice magical device. During a recent interview, US President Barack Obama stated he got the second generation iPad earlier than the rest of us. Isn’t this worth running for President? If...

iPad 3 will ship in 2012 with Retina Display

Some rumors claimed Apple was going to ship a 3rd generation iPad this fall, but recent info push the tablet back to 2012 (where we believe it belongs). We had our say about the 2011 iPad 3 and our words were confirmed by the latest news: the next iPad will ship in 2012. Not only that but the famous Retina Display will also join the rumoured A6 quad-core processor that Apple is working on. The display will have a 2,048×1,536 pixels and will not have the same pixel density as the iPhone 4/iPod touch, but it will get pretty close to that 300...

Goodbye HP Tablets! You shall be missed!

A news release from yesterday caught nearly everybody off guard: HP will not continue manufacturing TouchPads and the Pre smartphones. We shed a tear. Besides giving us some numbers from the latest financial quarter, HP announced that it would discontinue operations for webOS devices such as the TouchPad and the Pre smartphones. This came as a shock for die-hard fans and it even took us by surprise. We were aware that Best Buy hadn’t sold a lot of TouchPads and demanded HP a refund, but we didn’t expect such a young tablet to die so...

Google acquires Motorola Mobility for $12.5B

Up until now Google was a major mobile software developer that has surpassed Apple’s iOS, but it lacked a hardware division. By the end of this year Google will have acquired Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion. Google has entered the hardware market by acquiring Motorola Mobility and all of its patents for $12.5B. As we all know there are quite some issues with patent law suits these days. But nevertheless Google has its own hardware division and can now start making smartphones and tablets. Although this action may rise some questions...

No Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales in most EU countries

Samsung announced the Galaxy 10.1 tablet a while ago and we liked it for a couple of reasons. First of all Samsung pulled the product back to the drawing board after the iPad 2 launch and redesigned it to be more appealing and thinner (just) than Apple’s tablet. The second reason is the grown up Android Honeycomb OS. Motorola failed to impress with the Xoom, therefore the only real competitor for Apple’s iPad was the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. However Apple didn’t like the fact Samsung copied their design and filed a lawsuit against...

Rumored 15 and 17-inch Macbook Air

The Macbook Air comes in two sizes: 11.6″ and 13.3″. Giving the enormous success Apple plans to expand its Macbook Air line by introducing two new models: the 15″ and 17″ slim Macbooks. There are many rumors claiming Apple is preparing special Macbook Pros for this Christmas. Although the 15″ and 17″ laptops are being tested as we speak there are a few things we wish the bigger Macbook Air will have. First of all Apple needs to get as much storage as possible inside. The current generation of Macbook Pro starts...

Acer’s and Asus’ Ultrabooks will cost more than $1000

At first it seemed like a really good dream: a very thin, portable and powerful laptop that would cost just under $1000. Intel technology would flow through its circuit board and great looks would give Apple headaches. We remember the first time we saw the Asus UX21: it was the best alterntive to the Macbook Air: it had the looks, the specs and the right price to compete with Apple’s thin laptop. While Apple manages to keep the Macbook Air’s price under $1000 by offering a 1.6GHz Intel Sandy Bridge ULV processor, 2GB of RAM, 64GB SSD...
