With iPad shipping date so very close, Shanzhai community is also expecting this date to come so that they can release their iPad clone on the market. The clone was spotted on Shenzhaiben.com and it isn’t probably the last one we will see.
The tablet isn’t running on Windows 7 as others we’ve seen so far, but on Google’s Android operating system featuring an iPhone alike user interface and it would very much possibly use a Rockchip’s RK2808 chipset and a 600MHz ARM-based processor.
Shanzhai tablet has a 10-inch touch-screen display, 256MB of system memory, and capacities varying between 1GB and 64GB for storage as options for users. There will be two versions available, a 7-inch and a 10-inch tablet.
The 7-inch tablet will be available in April, while the 10-inch tablet, which right now is only a prototype, will follow in May. Prices aren’t specified yet, but it seems that the 10-inch tablet will come with a price of $147 at distributors, not bad at all.
