Sony has officially announced their new netbook, Sony VAIO M and hopefully is better than the earlier models that didn’t have so much success. Sony VAIO M N450 is a true netbook, too bad it didn’t appear one year ago. Sony VAIO M Series comes with Windows 7 Starter Edition operating system and a generous suite of preinstalled software. This allows the user to manage the music and videos, interchange files with another PC and others.
The new Sony VAIO M netbook series are available in white and black colors and weight 1.4kg (with the 6-cell battery included). It has a 10.1-inch LED backlit display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and a MotionEye camera embedded in the screen. It comes with a 250GB hard drive big enough for a lot of documents, images and videos and the storage can be expanded by using the three USB ports included. Connectivity is completed by Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The Sony VAIO M series are practically the enhanced version of the VAIO W series, coming with a better platform and a better display. The netbook is built on Intel Pine Trail platform, which includes Intel NM10 Express chipset and a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor with Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphics. Its dimensions are 182.8 × 268 x 26.4-32.9 mm and it will be available in late March 2010 for a price around €335.
