This is a busy time for tablet manufacturers. While Sharp declared that has a glasses-free 3D tablet display in the lab, and Intel and Nokia are starting a lab together for the same declared purpose, the folks by Rockchip in China are busy coming up with glasses-free tablet devices already.
The Supernova X1 tablet prototype, made by Rockchip was spotted on an event in China where the device was shown playing Disney’s Toy Story which had been converted to 3D. The unexpeced was that their 3D display was glasses-free.
Because this being an early prototype there’s no word on price, internal specs or even what OS platform it uses.
But is good news, anyway.
