As usual, Japanese company Panasonic brought quite a lot of interesting novelties to CES 2012, but while they’ve been pretty vocal regarding some of them, others were only there as teasers, that also being the case with their forthcoming Skype tablet. As some of you might know, Panasonic has had quite a long and serious relationship with Skype, the company providing Skype support for some of its best-known audio/visual products, including its extensive HDTV and PDP lineups. Panasonic ToughBook 31 and 19 Series Rugged Tablets

Panasonic has released two new rugged toughbook models, namely the 13.1-inch Toughbook 31 and 10.4-inch Toughbook 19. The two tablet PC are practically packing the same specs. This includes a 160GB hard drive, about 6GB of DDR3 SDRAM and an Intel QM57 Express chipset. The displays offer a 1024 x 768 resolution and with a pre-istalled Windows 7 Professional. The Toughbook 31 Series is powered by Intel Core i5-520M vPro CPU, 2GB of RAM (Max 6), while the Toughbook 19 Series comes with an Intel Core i5-540UM vPro CPU. Common features for these two...

Today Panasonic launched the world’s lightest 12.1-inch convertible tablet PC, with the Toughbook C1 which accepts touch and pen input. The laptop is designed for a highly mobile worker that demands durability, as Panasonic claims it can survive a 30-inch drop with the lid open to the base, 225 pounds of pressure, and 6-ounce spills.
