On 1 March, J-10 was unveiled by TESO thus becoming the world’s first iPad clone. This was more than 3 months ago and the company comes back with an upgraded version of J-10 called TESO J-10 Pro. The Shenzhen based company made upgrades for J-10 including the touchscreen panel, display panel, processor, bigger storage, new memory support and design.
This time TESO J-10 Pro better resembles Apple’s iPad tablet (now that its design is well known), while TESO J-10 was more similar with an enlarged iPhone (because back then the design of iPad was still held secret). TESO reminds us that J-10’s and J-10 Pro’s touchscreens are manufactured by Sintek, who has provided touchscreens to iPad.
The move on the processor was on the similar specked with its predecessor’s, Intel Atom N455 running at 1.66GHz which comes with support for DDR3 memory that uses less power than DDR2 thus offering a slightly longer battery life. The J-10 Pro comes equipped with 1GB of DDR3 memory.
TESO J-10 Pro comes with 10.1-inch and 1366*768 pixels of resolution touchscreen that gets multi-touch support (J-10 had only touch support). The chipset and graphics are unchanged from the J-10, but comes with bigger hard drive, 160GB of storage space.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, WCDMA 3G connectivity by courtesy of China Unicom, 3 USB2.0 ports, and 4-in-1 card reader. Autonomy is 4 hours with the 3300mAh included battery, weighs around 0.9kg, measures 29×15×1.8cm and as its predecessor runs on a full Windows 7 operating system. So far the price and launch date aren’t known.
