The new Asus N53Jf multimedia laptop

During a Pepcom press event, many technology manufacturers came to show their newest and most interesting gadgets. One of them was Asus, launching a new multimedia laptop, the Asus N53Jf, which sports a 15 inch display and is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor.

The Asus N53Jf uses an Intel Core i5 processor, the new nVIDIA T425M and nVIDIA Optimus technology. The laptop was introduced during a Pepcom press event, along with other company products. To name a few:  the astonishing 18.4 inch NX90Jq, the little 13.3 inch U33Jc featuring a bamboo case, the 10.1 inch Asus Eee PC 1015PEM and the gaming-based Asus G73Jw. Also, Asus showed off with their new SBC-06C1S-U external Blu-ray drive and their new 21.6 inch ML228H display.

Back to the Asus N53Jf, technical specs are:

- display: 15.6 inch with 1366 x 768 pixels;
- CPU: Intel Core i5-460M;
- memory: 4 to 8 GB RAM;
- video card: nVIDIA GeForce T425M with nVIDIA Optimus technology;
- storage capacity: 500 GB 7200rpm HDD;
- audio: being a multimedia laptop Asus shown respect for sound quality, featuring Bang & Olufsen ICE speakers and the Asus Sonic Master application that allows the user to adjust sound quality, bass and surround effects.
- optical drive: 8x SuperMulti DVD;
- I/O: 1 USB 3.0 port, 2 USB 2.0 ports, eSATA, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, 5 in 1 card reader;
- connectivity: 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1.

The ASUS N53Jf will hit the market at the end of september with the starting price of $999.
